Approx. how much of the class is filled for each dental school on Dec. 1st? I've heard different things, someone has told me ~50%, but I have also heard 80-90%.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Varies from school to school. Of the schools I have been to I havent seen any consistant trend...many seem to accept a fair portion of their class size, but the percentage of accepted people who put down a deposit depends on the school.

Just interviewed at Colorado...they were very frank and gave the impression that very few would be accepted Dec. 1 (FYI he informed the roughly 30 people interviewing that an "agreement" had been made between all schools to announce Friday, Nov. 30th this year and Monday, Dec. 2nd next year). Rather, they'd do a true rolling enrollement all the way through April 2008...a far cry from the near 100% acceptance predicted for Nov. 30 by Nebraska...

It depends, most schools are rolling admissions. However they are not going to accept too large of a number of students by December 1st because there may be competitive applicants that apply later. I would imagine about 20-30% of the class would be filled that early, and then maybe they hang on to some of the early applicants and notify them later after they have seen some more people in the applicant pool.

A few of the places I've interviewed have said:

CO approx 25-30%
NE 75-80% but last year it was 100%
Creighton "Almost the entire class"

so take that for what its worth?
