How Ochem heavy are the latest MCATS? IS EK Ochem enough?

I got very little Ochem (one sugar passage). Officially, EK Ochem covers all of the required material so it should be "enough." However, it really depends on how good you are at Ochem. Personally, I did Lab techniques, NMR and IR out of the TBR books and that was it. So everyone is different.

Agreed. I would cover the lab from BR but I generally find that most people think EK is enough even though BR is simply amazing if you have time. Better time should be spend doing FLs and working on weaknesses rather than learning extraneous details.

So if you use the EK only, but understand everything in it, would you be fine?

Like Cole, I only used EK and felt like I actually knew more than what I needed to know. After the test I wished I had spent more time on other subjects, but I suppose that will vary from test to test. I did have really good Ochem teachers/classes at my university though.

I am currently using the EK Orgo as my sole Organic prep along with the EK 1001 Orgo to get extra practice. That's about the best I can do as far as Orgo...and it seems the most interesting to work with as well.

Hopefully I don't have to retake....I hear TBR is great for Orgo but with seemingly so little organic on the test I don't know if its worth it to invest. I just plan to get thru EK's entire organic book just in case I get one of those Bio sections that has more Organic than usual.
