As for the "behavioral sciences" and the math, what are behavioral science courses, and how much of a difference does it make if you take them or not? Thanks in advance.

I believe that psychology courses qualify as behavioral sciences. As I understand it, if a school requires it, you definitely have to take it and it would be in your best interest to take it even if it's just "recommended."

I know for MSU-COM, for the "Genetics" requirement, you are to have taken a class with the word "Genetics" in the title of it. I called to see if the units we covered in Gen. Bio would be enough, and they supplied a hearty "no".

LOL @ hearty no

At my university, the math department is anal as hell and we have to take a placement exam to even take pre calc, thats if you even place into it... im almost done my BA in bio so i just want to set the record straight with the recommended courses..

Many subjects fall under the scope of "behavioral science", such as anthropology, sociology, psychology, etc. It wouldn't be difficult to fulfill this requirement.

And if all you need is pre-cal, then I'm surprised that you haven't taken it yet if you're finishing your degree.

Geez, I've never even had cal or precal nor have I ever entertained the thought of taking it.

I only said that because every college I know has some sort of general math requirement you need to fulfill before you graduate. 🙂

Wow talk about lucky! I hate pre-cal and I'm starting calc soon. I hate it so much all these limits the line going on forever. Gets pretty annoying

I'm six years out of college and eight years out of college algebra. I haven't had math since, and that's the way I'm going to keep it. lol I

I hate math. 😡
