how to classify Animal Behavior??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I believe I classified it as a biology class because it was considered a bio class at my school. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I hope this helps.

Good Luck :luck:

I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on how to classify this course... my advisor told me biology, but in the instructions it says that "animal and avian sciences" should be under "natural/physical sciences." i guess it could fit under ecology for Biology and I would rather include it in my BCPM GPA, but dont know which I should do. any thoughts?

I put it under Biology on AMCAS last year when I applied without having any trouble, but I don't know about the rules for this year...

do they seriously care if you call it bio or something close to that?

I know I made sure I had everything exactly right on my app compared to my transcript, but that just seems weird if the person verifying the app has a heart attack over calling animal behavior bio

I placed it under Biology.

Yeah, bio.

My guess is that by animal sciences they mean zoology, entomology, and courses related to animal care (e.g. equine-related).

well it makes a difference when calculating my BCPM GPA vs. my AO GPA.. if i put it as bio then its added under that classification, which then affects the BCPM GPA... i dont really care that much, i just dont want the wrong classification to hold things up... thanks for the advice guys!
