So I am one of those fortunate ones whose school has yet to upload the transcript. They claim they will do it this coming Monday. Everything else is complete except the MSPE (I may add a fourth letter too).

I've already applied Sept 1. Mustered 2 pretty good interviews (neuro), but still numerous other places I've applied to have handed out invites to others and not me. Whether it's the transcript or not, I won't know. Surely I'm either in a rejection or hold pile, neither of which is good at those bigger name places where I'm certain yet more apps are flooding in.

So once my school uploads the transcript, is it poor form to Email the coordinator and remind (yes I know they get updated automatically, but still)...

I feel like I want my 200K in loans back from my school.

From what's already been said in earlier threads, every time a program logs into eras, they will automatically download any new info onto their database, so there isn't any need to remind them.

My school's been the same way. It's frustrating but what can you do? 🙁

Yea...I mean, no matter how you look at it, it's a disadvantage. I do know that progs automatically download when they log in, but I don't think there's a bell that reminds them to drag my app out of the incomplete pile as they are flooded by other (complete) apps...Perhaps a one-liner...But even then you risk sounding like a cheeseball on top of an already crappy situation. And yes, to those that are going to reply telling me how early it is, I know, I know...But at those places that have started sending out invites a week ago, this sucks.

If the only thing keeping them from inviting you for an interview is the presence of your transcript (i.e., they filter on "has a transcript available"), as soon as your transcript is uploaded, it will pop into their "look at me" folder. And your transcript is good enough to get an invite, you'll get it. if not, you won't.

Gut,
You make a good point re the filters. However, my concern would be those places that don't have that filter setting, where I managed to get by the board score filter, but where "meh" board scores would have been vastly off-set by 3rd year performance. It just burns to get tossed to the side on the first look, IF that's why. Pieces of dog doo...(my school).

If they're writing you off b/c of your board scores, you'd probably know about it by now...they call that a rejection.

To the point of your transcript availability, if you've cleared all the filters, but still haven't gotten an invite (ie your app is in the "maybe" pile), when your transcript shows up, ERAS will tell them "hey look...Clement's transcript is in, wanna see it?"

Alternatively, maybe the program offers automatic invites for ppl who rotated there, or from the med school the PD went to, or to children of Trustees and the Board of Directors, while they make everyone else wait for the MSPE. Nothing you can do about that now.

So my advice? When Nov 15 rolls around, and you're still waiting on an invite, go ahead and give the program(s) a call. Do it before then and you risk looking like a desperate, neurotic wanker. And nobody wants to hire that dude.

On a somewhat related note, if you're getting this jacked up over something like this so early in the season (like a ton of this year's crop on SDN seems to be), your head is going to explode when ROL time comes.

No you're right, I am getting a little too jacked up a little too soon. Truthfully the places I haven't heard from are mostly bigger name places (and some not so big) that probably rejected me (which I'm told I will either never hear from or hear from in Dec.) The REASON I got jacked up IS because... the few invites I got are from places I almost didn't apply to.... because I didn't think I stood a shot in hell at those joints. It's the Vegas feeling, ya know what I mean?
