How to estimate "Accepted" from Matriculated

Anybody else find it weird that MSAR reports applicants, interviews, and matriculants, but not the number that might be most important (accepted)?

Would you say about half matriculate? A third? Does it vary widely by school?

You can actually find these values ("yield" values) in US News, as well as admit rate, behind the subscription paywall. I've looked through a good number of places and it varies a ton, even between schools you would expect to be similar. I can tell you that for the top 20, it ranges from as low as 30% (for example Cornell and Vanderbilt) to 60%+ (for example Mayo and Penn)

In the majority of cases, the main culling happens from applied to interview. "Accepted" is also a nebulous moniker because you can be "Accepted" off waitlist, but that number really isn't applicable to the info you want.

At my school:

5000 apps
500 IIs
accept ~250-300
seat ~100

Ballpark? 2-3 accepts/seat. Other Adcom members have mentioned similar numbers.
