Hello everyone! 🙂

OK, so I asked this attending for a LOR way back in December. I reminded her in person in June, and now it's almost August & still no letter. Now this particular attending is known to take FOREVER with LORs but is also known to write GREAT ones. How do I remind her again without seeming like a pain in the as#! I'm applying for resideny soon and I would love to not be waiting on this one letter. Any advice?

Thanks,
~Bean

Many professors wait to write letters until September/October. My chief of surgery wouldn't even meet with students until September. Don't worry, you have time, unless you are in the early match. Most schools don't look at the applications until Deans letters come out Nov 1.

I would schedule an appointment with the professor. Ask if there is any other information that he/she needs. Provide her with an updated copy of you CV and your personal statement. This will help give her something to base your letter on.

Good luck.
