Studying for STEP 2CK!

After clinicals took NBME/COMP correlating to 194. I have 5 weeks to study. Goal is 230.
Trying to match into family with a failed step 1 score. 2nd attempt on step 1 was 212.

All I've done so far is 50% of Uworld with 50% correct right.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm the kind of person who learns best from doing questions, so I would take my advice with a grain of salt. I would work out how long it will take you to reset and do ALL of uworld, and read each answer thoroughly, whether right or wrong. Then any extra time outside of that time I would use another resource, perhaps another qbank like USMLE Rx, and just do as many questions as possible. Whatever you do, finish with uworld. Don't worry about percentages on uworld, just learn from each question. Use NBMEs and UWSA to gauge where you are, but don't waste too much time on those, maybe 1 every 2 or 3 weeks. Your focus needs to be uworld, uworld, uworld. Read every word. Print out the decision trees and stick them on your bathroom wall, and stare at them when you crap.

To get a 230 you don't need anything on the side IMO. Uworld is plenty if you use it properly. I used some FA and other books that didn't help at all. Focus on understanding all the major topics and make notes / flash cards / whatever fits your style to make sure you nail them down. I don't agree with the above statement of only taking a couple tests. I took that approach to use every second of time trying to grind details and it didn't work. Step 2 is much less detail oriented than even step 1. It is all about basic concepts applied to weird situations. Tons of 50/50 scenarios that twist your brain. A great way to prepare is to get used to that stress via taking tests. Don't go overboard but I would try and take 3 or 4 practice tests.
