I know that each Pcat section is scored on a scale ranging from 200 -600, but I wonder how the number of correct multiple choice questions relative to scaled score.
For Example: If I get 29 / 58 questions right on Quantitative Ability, will my scores be 400?
Can Anyone answer for me this question.
Thank you.

I'm guessing there is no way to know. Considering that there are multiple forms of the test with varying difficulty, so each once is scaled differently. You could get half of the questions right on one form of the test and be in the 80th percentile or another test you could be in the 60th percentile. Also no one knows how many they got wrong since Harcourt does not disclose that information.

it is true that there is no way to know for sure however Lurkerkat but how about we see if someone ventures a guess. 😉 - My question is related, and I hope someone will venture a guess, if I need 90th percentile to get into the school I want what would be a good score from 200-600 to aim for? 450?

a composite scaled 435 would be 95th percentile

Thanks for the info. One followup. Is a 435 the same as getting approximatley 70% of the 58 items on Verbal, Biology, Chemistry, and Quantitative Ability(48 on reading comprehension) correct? If not what percentage is it?
