I'm taking pathogenic microbio right now and I'm stumped as to what study methods to use. Neither my TA or I know what type of material the professor emphasizes on exams, there are no reviews for him on ratemyprofessor, and I don't know anyone who previously took the class. Right now, I'm just trying my best to read the slides and book chapters he assigned and waiting for the first midterm, so I will know how to study for subsequent exams.. Is my way of reading the slides along with the book helpful at all?.. Any tips and suggestions you guys have are greatly appreciated.

I mean none of us know where the stuff on the exam is from either op...

It really doesn't matter what you do to study as long as your retain the information. Read the book, just listen in class, highlight everything in the book, read slides, make flash cards, study in a group, or repeatedly slam your head into the textbook, it doesnt matter as long as you know most of the information taught in the class well.

Spend time learning the material haha. If you know 100% of the material, you'll get 100% no matter what's on it.

Just do it.
