I plan on taking some other courses to raise my GPA a bit depending on how manageable the course is.
Thanks.

That sounds great. My Calc II prof made the grade 95% from tests and 5% from homework. I didn't turn in one homework assignment and still breezed my way to an A.americanpierg said:2nd hardest undergrad class EVER...ranks right behind Calc 2. This class is no joke.
whiskeysour said:it really depends on what biochem course you are taking. at my school, they offer biochem as 2 courses. the first one basically explains biology in terms of chemistry i.e. kinetics, pH, proteins, enzymes, etc. and it wasn't so bad.
the second course, however, was 100% metabolism and was DIFFICULT!! know all major biochemical pathways, catabolic and biosynthetic, know structures, enzymes, regulation, importance, and how they were affected by other pathways. by far, the toughest course i have ever taken.
Hopin' said:Yup..... first part of Biochem was not much... quite easy.
However, the second part requires much more effort. Memorizing those pathways with every important enzymes was pretty tough.
But again... with enough effort, you can certainly get a B+ if not A.
KOM said:OK - Here's the description I'm looking at for Biochemistry I...
"A presentation of structural biochemistry, enzymology, biophysical techniques, bioenergetics and an introduction to intermediary metabolism."
I'm assuming since the name is "BIOCHEMISTRY I," that it's similar to what you guys are talking about in that it's the first installment of a 2-part course...BIOCHEMISTRY I and II.
I'm thinking of taking it with anatomy (4 credit course) and maybe one other science course.
