I took AP physics (calc based) during my last year of high school and I scored a 4 on it and I got one semester worth of credit for it. But I took the course over in college (I wasn't too satisfied with the way the course was taught in high school). So when I log in my courses into AMCAS,
1. Would I check the repeat box in the bottom when entering physics?
2. List the course twice once as AP physics C (advanced placement)and the second time as General Physics (for the course I took in college)? Even though it is the same thing.
3. Just put one course in for my first semester physics?

In my transcript oddly enough I got four credits for my physics that I took in high school and another four credits for the course that I took in college.

Appreciate ur advice and thanx in advance

This sounds more like a registrar mistake by giving you 4 credits instead of 1 for the AP, which you said you were supposed to have, and also giving you an additional 4 credits even though you already had AP credit for the course. At my school, taking a course that AP gives you credit for results in forfeiture of the AP. Are you looking at your academic history online or actually holding a bona fide "released to student" transcript? The two might be different. You may want to get this issue cleared up.

But, if you were to go forward with it now, I'd suggest option 2.

OP, I had a similar situation to what you described, and I did exactly what you outline in option #2. Had no problems during verification, and the course was not considered a Repeat. Don't worry about the credits on your transcript - just enter them as they appear, and you'll be fine.

P.S. - MassTransport, you so crazy... 😆

I listed the same course twice. The first as advanced placement and repeat, as it showed on my transcript, the second just as normal. They changed it during verification to exempt the ap the class but I was still verified within a day of sending it. So just list it as it is on your transcript and they'll fix it

Follow option 2. I did the same for my Calculus class, I had no problems.
