what ability is it? I likely have no idea what is actually going on, but I love theory, so if you name the ability I can probably tell you about it without feeding the wolves anything that isn't fair game for anyone to know, ie won't be game specific

is this the stealing vote thing? or silencing? what are your questions?

I see that AM has a few players in her sketch pile and it makes me feel better to know there are others on it that are not just players who have been largely absent. She is one of my village leans. I like that KB came back with some reads that have merit to them, I still don't like her justification of her d1 vote on me but right now that's all she is sketching me out with. You and snowy have moved from wolf leans to neutral/slight village.
 
OK, @Animal Midwife I didn't forget your question about jacked-ness. Telling someone to get jacked can basically be telling them to screw off, only gangsta style. For some reason some things you say when I read them it reads like in the voice of LL Cool J. I think I will try to send a .wav file at some point.

To everyone I promised reads and asked for them, I fell down a rabbit hole. I also have an info dump.

I think Lupin is like her namesake and wolfy af.

Let me share with you my analysis of what happened in PM, my game obsv, etc, and see what you all think about the case. This was taken as a direct quote from me to her in the PM after things transpired, and I edited it somewhat so it doesn't break the rule about PM quoting.

"I think you have pulled every suspicious wolfy pocket PM move there might be.

1) is the one to reach out first by PM
2) invokes that someone else was talking to you about my trustworthiness, namely Barkley, and that you agree, so it seems that not only do you trust me but somehow you are seconding my villagey-ness with others, how considerate
3) tells me with no prompting the exact words "I am not a wolf" followed by no reasoning
4) unbidden offers me information
5) soft vouches for me on thread at least once re: Dina and PM'ing
6) suggests that the player shading me (Dina) may be acting "weird" so is possibly trying to "take my side" in an attempt to buddy me
7) I said, "Oh yeah, and Bark's dead, who was his PM partner?" I wanted to know what you'd say about it. You claimed the fact you were the partner, and had nothing more to say on it. How could you not have more to say? Were you trying not to draw attention to it without seeming like you were trying to actually cover it up, so you acting like there was nothing sketchy to defend against? That comment by you claiming it with nothing else offered, would have done nicely.
8) You subtly fish that you "wish someone would look into some of these other people." Maybe hoping that I had some power to volunteer? Maybe that's what happened to Barks.
9) I didn't *ask* for ANY of the above. I didn't ask you to trust me. Trust that was maybe too easily given, and without asking anything in return, so really is it trust or your attempt to give out fake wolf trust to try to gain villager trust in kind. Yet the "don't make me regret this..." guilt trip. Why? I'm basically this close to just outing all this suspect PM behaviour in this 9 point bulletin onto the thread

I'm completely freaking out on you to the point that I'm like, you know, I should probably put some on-thread pressure on you. With the death of Barks I'm worried about you. That should probably be known before you NK me to keep me quiet.

I don't really feel comfortable with side convos unless beyond trusting each other, we actually need to use the PM to coordinate a plan involving items or abilities or something. I don't share intel to share intel or gain trust. We're either going to chance the trust to pull off a mission, or I'm fine just chatting on thread.

This is why I say that I try to be forthcoming in PMs, but overall they're dangerous and I don't like them.

Sorry if you're village and all of this is some misunderstanding, and paranoia. There are things that I just do stupidly in the game and gets me yelled at for years, I hope this isn't one of them."

I'm like, I'm not trying to tell you to frak off. Just, this is why I am worried and alluded to that on the thread. I wanted to discuss things there.

Please explain to me why I shouldn't think you're a wolf and just say as much on thread.

To which she just ghosted. I basically begged her to tell me I was wrong.

She came back just this last time she was posting, and I asked her again. No response.

So here we are.

Ohai! I was on call all of yesterday and just got out of work today, been super busy. Will try to catch up on the thread but my god do people talk a lot these days. There are literally over a thousand posts and on the way to two thousand wtf

yah. Adulting and WWing is much more difficult these days. Tis why I am trying to just enjoy myself.
 
As night fell, so began the snow as well. With no answers from the doctors, there was unease. Fights broke out during the night, with horses nipping through their stall bars at each other and others still escaping their stalls to be nosy.... or stand by those they held dear.

OK, missed this from the write up. Sounds like there was a protector involved, as some horses escaped to be nosy (tracking/seering/spying whatevs) or "stand by those they hold dear" = protection?

A lone dun stallion stood outside in the field, away from the chaos indoors. He much preferred being outside at night, where he was best suited. It allowed him the ability to take on threats to his herd and send them back where they came from.

Maybe a good descriptor for a redirector, which is what Dolphin was. Or a comment on protection?

It seemed an anthropomorphic dog had taken his place in the hearts of fans and he couldn't take the pain of being forgotten.

So Goofy sounds non-village. The phrasing of success makes me think there was a game mechanic, like RNG, or a challenge, or a 3rd party wincon (not to bring that in too soon, this is just one spot where due to the nature of the write up suggesting a "success" ie condition was met to kill, that it might represent something more than a standard NK. Could be nothing. Remember, I don't like to get too deep into mechanics or NKA, but I'm coming to a point)

There must be a scratch in the America disc. Kinda creepy, almost like someone put it in that spot specifically. A barn hand popped it out of the disc drive and studied the recorded surface. Covered with scratches and dust, even though it was just fine yesterday. CDs are antiquated anyway.

You know I don't love NKA, and frankly I haven't analyzed a write up this hard since a JDH/ @Lupin21 game.

Point is, 3 deaths in one night is worth thinking about, especially when you're worried about someone's on thread and in PM behaviour, and they have suspicious ties to the ones who have died.

How has no one talked about some of these things?
 
Just got through pg 25, may not catch up before close, but want to get some thought s out.

Lupin has actually moved up on my list as well after the last lynch, and a Kara flip would give me some answers to questions I have about Lupin.

Except you did exactly this with @Animal Midwife in I think the Reading game where you sheeped all her votes until she died. So maybe it's so bad it's a good move. Idk, WIFOM to me either way.

I feel like it's kind of hard to speculate on wolf roles without having lynched a wolf and found out their role. But IRL the character of Horace Horsecollar was basically replaced by Goofy as he gained popularity. So if there's a wolf Goofy - he was successful on N2 finding the one other role in the game that he could kill? Seems a bit of a stretch.

If that amount of death was constant, I would hope the compensation was revivals x2 or 3 plus adequate hunting tools.

i figured it was mod-flair for how she died. Goofy is a dog and Horace was a horse and one of Mickey's best friends before Goofy showed up and took his place.

Looking at the size of the game ~30 people.. I was thinking 4 wolves(+/-convert)+chaos+NPC? That would be a 5:1 ratio of villager😳ther.

Since there was only one kill N1, I'm guessing we have a wolf with an extra kill eon. But could be a wolf vig. And the 3rd I would guess would be a chaotic player.

But this is wifom mechanics talk.

I love how you all know this, lol. I didn't. I think a big reason it stuck out to me was because it feels like my top wolf suspect Lupin was being awfully goal directed about gaining intel on other players.

I first noted she was being wolfy fluffy on thread at the start. But not sure what to make of it. Then Bark's death. Then the PM behaviour. Then that seemed to fit in maybe with she was trying to sniff out something in particular.

Yeah she's also in my sketch pile. For some D1 comments. But last game when she was village she was one of the top of my wolfy reads at the beginning of the game and became more apparently village as time went on.. so I'm going to wait for that vote for a bit. Also because I can pm her.
