After we figured out that the huge presence wasn't a blocker, I went back and looked at @vetmedhead 's records of huge and small presences. Every night mutts was blocked, there was a ? for the huge presence that no one claimed. I asked mutts, are you the huge presence, and she said yes, but it is protection, not blocking.

Which makes sense, because no one with the huge presence was blocked... And then cray seemed to confirm it by having mutts as solid villager.

I wanted to see if he would hide it or lie about it. My protection only effective during night cycles so I don't get where this theory is going

Even if not, she was ability seer. She would’ve only seen protector. Wolf kills are group abilities and from what I’ve seen usually you don’t get those with any sort of action like ability seer, mimic, ability thief, because they’re NOT the ability of only the person you acted on.

I knew there was always a chance he would be a wolf but to me he was playing a different game than the last one when I wolfed with him.

And I don't expect to have a lot of village points. I've been flying under the radar and vouching for Mel repeatedly.
 
But then, how did the wolves know? I assume they read into the huge presence/blocking trend. But now she has to protect herself tonight if she's still village which is kinda annoying. Why did you protect yourself the last couple nights mutts? You have been sketch all game and not likely to be nk'd

I guess my point is there is not even any proof that she still has protection, a lot of times converts lose abilities

She also protected MEL after the (likely) conversion night

I've said before I think it's unlikely. Cubs was the only one who knew I wanted to be attacked to use my NK avoidance. If conversion happened on that first no kill night, then why on earth would wolves attack me the next night? I already trusted Cubs, there was no reason to attack me to solidify that, especially since it exposed MJ.

true. I guess converts sometimes keep their abilities. I was thinking she would have lost it so cray would have seen vanilla.

The way she was vouching for you was a lot stronger then a guess you were protector. I feel like she seered you.

Because as soon as vmh made that post I saw the pattern and then coffee figured it out and started dropping hints

I have not been protecting myself the last couple of nights but I will now. I told Coffee she just put a nk target on my back. Cray was protected n8, I only protected myself n9.

Well if you are village, you better do a coin flip between you and a strong villager (I would go for caiter or ski because they lead this lynch and are not as likely to be convert) for who to protect tonight. That way there is a 50% chance that someone can verify you still even have your ability.

Am I missing something? What would be the point of mutts protecting Mel assuming she's the convert? Why not protect someone that you could get village cred from? Obviously Mel isn't going to be NK

I think the best thing you could do for the village would be to not protect yourself. Village wants to lynch you tomorrow, so you're going to die. Either the wolves kill you tonight, or you die tomorrow. If you're really village, then protect someone who would be actually in danger of being night killed. If you get lucky and prevent a kill, you might not get lynched.

He could be tracked doing the kill... and he wasn't a verified wolf at that point. Still had wifom going for him.

N1 - Ski
N2 - Dina
N3 - mutts no trust - Blocked
N4 - Stagg
N5 - tried Kara - Blocked
N6 - mutts - longest I've lived in a game couldn't take the chance
N7 - Cray
N8 - Mel
N9 - mutts
