HPSP Scholarship Recipent Process

Hello all,
I was awarded the ARMY HPSP scholarship. However, I do not think I have a very informed recuriter. I was commissioned and then filled out the paper work. When am I supposed to recieved a handbook and information regarding reimbursements ( such as health insurance), and go the the webpage and register.

How long ago did you sign the paperwork? I'd say give it 3-4 weeks for everything to go through, then register on the web page. All of the info you'll need is on the web page, including the HPSP handbook. It contains everything you need to know (and some things you really don't) about reimbursements, etc. You won't actually get a paper copy of the handbook.

It has been about 2 weeks so far. (Maybe I am being a little impatient) Will the recruiter have to give me a password or something to sign up with or once I am in the system can just go this site and register?

I'd say you're being a little impatient. If you absolutely must do this as soon as you can, contact your recruiter and ask them to notify you as soon as the paperwork goes through. Don't be surprised if this takes a while, remember that this is a busy time for them getting everyone squared away to start in August.

As for passwords, they give you nothing. You just go to the website and it takes you through the registration process. It gives you a user ID which is pretty much a random string of letters and then, as I recall, a preliminary password which you can change to whatever you want (with certain requirements for length and characters). Once you've done that, you're good to go.

I'm in the same boat. I commissioned April 1, and have not received a thing. I have had e-mail contact with the person in charge of the dental HPSP, but he told me he's not the one to contact for info about payments, etc. I know nothing about any website or anything. I start school July 9, and want to make sure everything is squared away.
