AP Stats teacher is pregnant, will leave in ~February. Will have a clueless sub from February up to the test in May.


Transcripts got to ASU today. For all the s*** the Post Office gets, they get their job done. 🙂
 
I actually understand what we're doing in AP calc, which is a plus. Also, I added another college to my list mainly because of its forensic chemistry major.
 
Got my AP Biology grade up to an 88 finally..... It WILL be an A by the end of the semester!

To be honest senior year is going on pretty well and I haven't heard anything from the colleges I applied to 🙁.

I'm checking the mail everyday and hoping to see a big fat letter!
 
I spoke WAAAAAAY too soon, I got rejected from Usciences... I just got the letter.

Ah well, 3 more to go 😉. This actually makes me want to take a nap and listen to some 2ne1 lol.
 
Unfortunately:

GPA: 4.2
EC's: Veterinary intern: 2 years, volunteer @ animal shelter, Treasurer and Secretary of NHS, Parliamentarian of the the FFA, Horticulturalist and leader of small group leaders for Episcopal youth retreats, played piano, sing in the choir, tutor honors chemistry students. That's about it.

My SAT score is probably why I didn't get in because it was awfully low even after taking it twice.
 
Visited my last school last weekend, Georgetown University. I'm applying for the International Health major in the school of Nursing & Health Sciences. I probably won't get in but it's worth a shot, plus my dad works there and I have a letter of rec from a VP there.

Senior year is alright. I'm not putting very much effort in. I did get an A on my most recent AP Calc quiz and a B on my AP Chem test. I CAN do it, I just don't WANT to lol, as long as I pass the grades don't matter.
 
I'm debating on the majors: forensic chemistry or biology. Biology seems a little boring for me, and forensic chemistry sounds really exciting.

GUYS! Finally got some time to check up on here! I've been so lazy its killing me! I literally come home, don't do ***T, go to sleep, and repeat. lol

Well okay, I guess I do a little bit of work but still. Its scaring me how lazy I am getting lol.

On the plus side, I got floor tickets to the Yeezus tour with Kanye and Kendrick on Dec 10TH! Super excited, just looking forward to that!

Congrats to everyone was who accepted and awarded stuff by their dream college! We are almost there!

Haha that's exactly what I'm talking about. School is getting lame, especially after everyone (brother/cousins) telling me HS is pointless.

Not exactly... I've been in college for a year and a half, and only now is the Pre-Allo forum a little useful to me.

Good man, procrastinating Biochem studying while waiting for the Michigan Duke game to start. College is great. Just signed up for the MCAT in August.

You go from applying to colleges, and now only two years later you're thinking about your applications to med schools. Then you'll be applying to residencies! When does the madness end :cigar:

9-14 years if I'm lucky.

And I lied, haven't signed up for the MCAT yet, latest one I can sign up for currently is in May.

Just wait til 3rd/4th quarter when I have acceptance letters and a PS4. My last few months of no-responsibility freedom will not be put to waste...
 
Just don't forget schools CAN revoke acceptances! I know Cal-Berkeley has a no-C policy:

"Get accepted but get a C your last semester? We've got plenty of people on the wait list!"

That would suck. Especially if you already bragged to everyone about getting in to Cal and changed your Facebook to attending Cal-Berkeley lol!
 
I wouldn't get into Cal then lol.

Schools only require a mid-year report (the ones I applied to, at least) which is the first 2 quarters only. The last 2 quarters are essentially meaningless; you just have to show up and sit in class til graduation. I'm still going to try to learn so I can get good AP scores but I don't care if I get all Bs and Cs.
 
All the schools I applied to require you to send in your final transcript after graduation...

Just looked it up. Straight Bs should be fine for Miami. 😀 I have a 4.4 this quarter in 5 classes (all AP/honors, no gym or anything)

mid year/final

ASU - none
Maryland - none
Georgetown - only mid-year
Miami - mid year and final report

If I get into Barrett, yeah most likely. It would be the best option for pre-med.

Georgetown is also something to think about. They have an Early Assurance Program where you can get guaranteed acceptance to Georgetown Med, don't even have to take the MCAT. Still very expensive and $60k a year is way too much for undergrad IMO, probably won't get in anyways.

I wasn't accepted to ASU in time, so I'm still considered for priority, but in the January window. They are having a January pool of priority applicants and I still have an equal chance at getting in as if I was in the earlier priority pool. I'll hear back Feb 14th! I didn't realize it took ASU so long to process applications, but I'll be accepted to the actual university in a few days.

Nice man, you will get in! To be honest, I'm pretty excited I know someone on here that might end up at the same place as me!
 
Winter weather blues!

Yesterday, we had a 2 hour delay. When we go to school, there was no power. The whole school was dark, but we still had to go to class. We had to remain in first period "until the power came back on." So we ended up just chilling and using our phones until 12:00 when they cancelled school and went home. The power never came back on. Luckily my classroom had windows.

Today, I just woke up at around 12:00. No school! It's currently snowing & very icy.
 
We didn't have any school yesterday not today. The snow is beginning to melt but the weather channel is calling for re-freezing. My prediction is that we'll probably have school maybe a two-hour delay.

I just want winter break to begin 🙁 School is getting rough.
 
Snow days sound fun, well to me at least cause I've never had one of those 🙁

Anyways, leaving to the Kanye/Kendrick concert in like 30 minutes! I am totally excited and ready to get "turnt" as my fellow gangster folks say. 😉
 
What does a 4.5 GPA get you?

A PS4 and 2k14 that I get to play 12 days before Christmas. Goodbye, weekend.
