So we had a final that was timed, but you took it at home. It was essentially a time essay. Because my laptop is a POS, I did it on Google Docs like ALWAYS and downloaded it as a word to upload in an email. Well, somewhere the document got ****ed (I think downloading from Google because I can't even open it).

I know I'm an IDIOT for not opening it first, but I literally downloaded it a minute before it was due and "no late exams will be taken".

I emailed the TA as soon as I found out, but would should I email the professor? Is it too pushy to ask "will I get an F or I".

This is insane. I would have rather turned in an incomplete exam than no exam.

What does a timed essay taken at home mean? Is there a set start time that you manually start and try to complete it before the timer reaches zero? Or what?

Tip: opening a separate word document and saving it on Google Drive solves the problem easily.

You don't even know for sure if it will be an F yet. You're just going to have to explain it to the professor and hope he/she understands, especially because they can see that you did attempt to turn it in.

You have a history of jumping to the worst conclusion possible. Just relax, freaking out and making a new thread every time will not help you.

I mean it was a takehome final that is done online so of course technical issues will happen (though they should've been managed early on)

Contact your professor about the technical issues and corrupted files. Submitting the final slightly late is expected to compensate for the mishap

Well I live on campus, but never had more of an issue here with the internet. I've only had terrible issues with my phone. I have to drive a block away to make a phone call sometimes.
Regardless, I'm dumb. I should have went to the class to do it. That would just have proved I did it on time to my TA.

Which means the file corruption wouldn't be much of a problem had you done it in class
