Good point. I'm taking suggestions for good entertainment until Dec 1st.

Heres a legit question

What would you choose: Going to dental school that is cheaper than your other choices but you don't like the school at all. Or go to your top choice but your going into a lot more debt.

hm..good question. if i'm fortunate enough to be in a position to choose and if i don't receive the hpsp scholarship..

I would choose the cheaper school. Just because I don't like the school doesn't necessarily mean that the school won't make me a great dentist.

Now, if the cheaper school has a bad rep of producing bad clinicians, or if the more expensive university has higher specialty rates than i'd go with the more expensive one..

what is your take on this?

I have actually thought about this for almost 2 months. Happiness vs Cost. In other words. Happiness in dental school vs happiness in next 25 years.

There is no right answer. But I decided to go with a school that I will be happy the most although it is more expensive. I had a situation like that in the past. I choose 'happiness later' and it back-fired on me.

I'm very concerned about paying dental school loan off cuz we most likely will have a mortgage and a practice loan at some point. Hell with it. I deal with it as life unfolds.
I choose to be happy today, not in hopes of being happy tomorrow.

Anyways, I decided to move to SoCal and to get married with an 70ish granny with loads of cash. 2 yrs of sacrifice = 5 million.. pretty good deal, right?

Anyway this was from Steve Jobs in 2008 at Stanford commencement. That bastard never came to our school. lol I wrote it down words by words and its on my FB so that I see it every day.
"And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Totally kidding about granny part. 😀

Lets just wait until Obama has to debate the nominee. He'll be a blabbering idiot without those teleprompters!

obama would tear the republican candidates apart..with the exception of mitt romney who actually might put up a good fight

and when you say "blabbering idiot"...are we referring to the likes of george w. bush? that man was terrible even with teleprompters

I could make a list from now until D-day of why he needs to go and was the worst president in American history, but I wont go into that here 😉

Okay, that doesn't mean he's not a good debater...
