anyone have an interview were you were naturally attracted to the interviewer? i'm not a pervert or anything, but I felt there was "that" type of chemistry with one of my interviewers. obviously, she was relatively young. we had so much in common, and she was helluva cute.

we didn't flirt with each other of course, but I felt there was a mutual connection. independent of getting into that school, would it be inappropriate to contact her in the near future and maybe ask her out for dinner?!

Hee-Hee!

I guess it would be OK to ask for a date, but wait until the end of the process!! Asking before then wouldn't be appropriate...

You'd better get in first before you take any chances like that. If you make such overture while you're being reviewed or on the waitlist, and the interest was totally not mutual, that could really be a wrong move.

Quite frankly, I don't understand how you could begin having romantic thoughts about your interviewer DURING the interview. But I suppose that's a good thing... On the other hand, when I interview, the only thing I have on my mind is how bad I want to get in, how nervous I am, how to best phrase my resonses.

Why can't I get hottie interviewers? My interviewers at both UColorado and Eastern Virginia were wrinkly men, at least 75, and on oxygen. Do you have any idea how distracting that little "pppffft" of oxygen is every 2 minutes?? 🙂

Definetly, I would never think of contacting her during the review process! That's why I asked if it would be appropriate in the NEAR future; after the process is done with and I'm either rejected, or accepted. It's a great school, but I wouldn't be hurt if I get the big R.

I'm not delusional, I'm sure you've all had instances were you've connected with someone else on a "higher" level; you just feel it!

i'm not even sure i would do that afterward.
how old was she? was she a student? i'm confused.

Get used to that sound of O's. Vents sound alot worse.

at harvard, i was flirting with this drop dead gorgeous (im talking fashion model hot) blonde bombshell of a med student. two hours later, she taps me on the shoulder and informs me that she's my interviewer. we interview for 2 hours and i have the best interview experience ever. she was so hot.

If you get in and she is a faculty member there, it would not be a good idea.

If you get rejected, you can ask to shadow her and you will get to know her better. You may even get to have lunch with her. Eventually, you can ask her.

choker, i hope she's my interviewer when i go to harvard.

Like others on this thread. I say go for it, but only after you've recieved word about your status there.

One of my interviewers was absolutely gorgeous. She was a child psychiatrist. Oh man, I get smiley just thinking about it. Needless to say, I don't now and didn't then have the guts to do anything about it - but it made for an interesting 45 min.

ahhhhh, beautiful, smart women.

Oh yeah! I forgot to add, I was accepted at the school, so she must of seen something she liked! 😀

A couple of my student interviewers have been very attractive women. I second the comment on smart women. The best kind there is. Unfortunately, that usually means they are smart enough to know not to be with me. 🙂

GO FOR IT!!!!!! After all, if she is an interviewer for med school, chances are that her dating pool (either b/c of time constraints, etc.) is rather small. I wish I could have had an interviewer I was actually attracted to!! Of course, I would wait to take any action until you heard the decision from that school. Otherwise, you may ruin your chances in both aspects of this situation. Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't know why this came up as "related topic" to a thread I was in... but yeah. I'm gonna bump it for the lulz. Sorry, mods. Please discuss.

Classic. I hope OP is now married to said interviewer... That'd be awesome
