i got b on bio 1.. should I retake?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Why would you retake a B, especially when your other grades already tell your story academically? That would be a huge waste of your time and money. If you only had a 2.9, it would be one thing, but with so many As on your record, there's no need.

Focus on things that matter, like job shadowing, volunteer work, actual paid work, and crafting excellent application essays and practicing interview skills.

Don't retake it. Go take a higher level Bio course and make an A in that. It'll look impressive.

I don't think colleges will allow people to retake the exact same class UNLESS the student failed the course. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure you can only retake if you fail the course.

You're wrong. There may be some schools that don't permit retakes of courses that weren't failed, but it's by no means ALL colleges. There is no one set of policies that all "colleges" follow. Every school that I've attended allowed retakes of courses, regardless of initial grade earned.

Ok, you said we can correct you. Oh man this is fun :meanie:  😀

With grades below a C, most schools are likely to let you retake it.

With the grade C in a course, some schools will not let you and other schools will let you, but your professors will advise you against retaking a course in which you made a C.

seriously? Now I'm nervous about my grades again.
I have 7 Bs and 2 As, should I retake a class?
My math and science gpa is a 3.33.
Bs in all my sciences and As in all my math (which are only 2)
