i got 25 AA / 24 PA / 23 TS and 3.92 GPA.....did a lot of shadowing, etc, but i haven't got into any dental schools yet. i'm so sad. i don't know why the heck i applied so late when i took DAT in March. i did 2 interviews in January and 3 interviews are coming this month, but i'm not so sure. seems like all the schools are pretty much filled.

my tip for future applicants out there: DON'T EVER APPLY LATE!!!

You have great stats, plus a few interviews coming up. Don't worry, you will at least get into one of those schools you have and will be interviewing. 👍

Don't worry...you will get in...make sure you call the admissions office to check on your app...you would be surprised at how it can help

You should definitely get in somewhere unless you really botched the interviews.

With your status, you should definitely get in somewhere. I applied later than you (took DAT Nov4, complete application Nov 21) and with a status less than yours. I got 3 interviews so far and got 1 acceptance. So, you will be more than ok with that status.

You might not get in right away because people have multiple deposits down, but once May 1st comes and schools release the info on who has a deposit there, schools will force anyone holding two spots to make a decision and slots will open up and I can Guaruntee you that you will be #1 on the alternate lists.

The multiple deposits is a new thing this year, because so many schools are tired of people withdrawing in July and struggling to find someone to fill the spot. UNLV said that if they find out you have a deposit somewhere else they may just drop you and fill your spot.

You'll be fine....you have too good of stats to not be on the top of the alternate lists.

I didn't submit AADSAS til late October (right before the first set of deadlines) and I just got accepted at Pitt, interviewed at Tufts yesterday, and am interviewing at MD as well.

Definitely puts us at a disadvantage but you definitely have a shot.

Don't panic. You'll either get in or you'll reapply. It sounds like your app is pretty strong overall so try to stay calm and do well at the interviews and the odds are in your favor.

I agree with the rest of the posters; you have amazing stats, you should definitely be getting in somewhere, if not to multiple places. I applied the same time as you (with slightly lower stats) and so far I've received 3 acceptances and have 3 more interviews coming up. Don't give up! And go into each interview thinking that they definitely want you. Good luck!

geeze, I don't really see the point of the first post. He got 5 interviews; of course he would get in somewhere. They only give interviews to people they consider for their class. They wouldn't waste the time of their facility if all their seats were filled. Ah well best of luck at whatever dental school you pick. One would expect at least 2 - 3 acceptances with 5 interviews.

This is a good lesson for people that haven't applied yet.

Whether the OP gets in or not this year, he/she has had to go through the stress of not knowing for 2+ months and counting now when he/she would have been most likely been accepted on December 1st if the application was turned in before August.
