i have a question about acceptances

i have a question:

ok lets say one has an acceptance but then has an interview in say early april and dosn't hear back from the school until after may 15th, say may 30th.... and they get accepted. how long do they have to hold on to both acceptances.

just a hypothetical question.... i mean does one have to give up one acceptance the same day they get the letter?!?!?

it usually depends on the schools, but after may 15 you're only supposed to have 1 acceptance, so in the scenario you gave i would think the second school would give you a few days to decide if you want to take their acceptance and withdraw the other, or decline the new acceptance and hold onto the other.

From what I've been told, you generally have a MAX of 2 weeks, and even that's pushing it.
