I want to become a physician assistant, and i have a few questions:

1. Is this job competitivee?
2. is it hard to get accepted into PA school?
3. what kind of grades d i need to get ino it?
4. is there alot of math involved? do you have to be very good at math?
5. heard you need to have hospital work before getting accepted? What do they mean by this?
6. I want to become this or a Perfusionist, which is a better decision and why?

1. the field is a hot commodity right now.
2. yes, many many more applicants than there are seats available, my fellow students seem to have been overachievers in undergrad.
3. >3.0, preferably much higher than that.
4. depends...
5. prior experience with patients, whether it be EMT, MA, RT, ER Tech, etc, plus some shadowing with a PA so you know about the field, the role, current challenges, etc.
6. No idea....what would you like to do?
