i have 8 weeks to study for the dat. i only really started studying last week, and boy do i have a lot to do.

i just graduated, so i have nothing really lined up once september rolls around, though i was planning on getting a FT job while the whole application process goes on.

thing is, i haven't taken physics yet, and i was going to get the two sessions done with over the summer - will take up about 7 hours a day, 3 days a week starting next week.

do you think taking physics will really mess with my dat studying? should i wait to take it in the fall and spring of next term as a non-matriculated student at a college near home? my gpas aren't too hot either... but now i'm worrying about losing 20-ish hours/week of dat studying time... ack!

No
I studied less than 4 weeks while working a full time job and was pleased with my results. A majority of the info should be review and may iseem like a lot, but you'll plow through rather quickly.

agreed, 8 weeks is plenty of time, and taking physics while studying for DAT shouldnt be a problem at all. Personally, i spent 1 week studying for the DAT while taking a heavy course load and did fine. most of the material should be review. dont spend more time than necessary if you dont have to. just spend a little extra time on things you have forgotten. a friend of mine also recently took the DAT with just 2 weeks of studying and she did pretty good on it as well, so 8 weeks + physics should be a breeze

You'll still have enough time to study for the DAT and take physics. To make things easier and make sure you don't get behind, go ahead and make of schedule of what you are going to study for the next 8 weeks, and keep up with it.
