I need a quick answer! Should I no score if I think I did bad in QA section?

I'm taking the Pcat tomorrow and I think I am ready for every section except for the QA section. I haven't reviewed much math, and I think I will get a horrible grade on that part. With that said, I am also scheduled for the September PCAT and by then I will have reviewed everything. So should I no score if I think I did good in every section except QA or should I just score it to see how well I did and measure my progress? Will schools care about and low scores if I get a better score in the September PCAT?

If you feel like you are strong in all the other areas, I would still score the test if I were you. Even if you feel like you did badly, your other scores can make up for it. One of my friends actually chose not to score his test because he thought he bombed the QA section.

I bombed verbal 48% and still got a 93 composite.

To avoid this, why don't people just select no recipients when registering? It's my understanding that you can select them AFTER the test anyway, especially if you're using pharmCAS or at least this is what someone from Pearson told me.

Good point. I think schools would look at the higher grades anyways, so I think I will choose the score option, even though, I could get horrible grades. At least I get to see where I am and how much I need to study for September. If not obvious already, I expect to earn better grades in September than tomorrow.

I know someone who got an 18% composite first try, then 30%ish the second try, and got into pharmacy school. I think people put this test on too high of a pedestal. The fact is this test, although it tries, is nowhere near an accurate representation of how well you will do in pharmacy school. It's just some exam Pharmacy schools use to attempt to weed out applicants. If other parts of your application are stellar or even slightly above average, you'll get an interview. Just relax and do your best, that's all you can do. Don't defeat yourself, most can score a 99% on this test if they chose to dedicate months of studying and perfecting the info...it's up to you to determine where you want your composite given your other strengths or weaknesses in your application..

Thanks for your advice. I definitely get that it's not even that hard to do well on the PCAT. Everything on there is stuff we've seen before in class, so it isn't some mysterious test. I want at least a 90% on the test, so we'll see what happens. Good luck!
