NYU is my first choice, just becasue I live very close to the city and it is a great school. I had an interview there a while ago and absolutely loved the clinics, the facilities, the opportunities they provide and the students that went there, but I am not sure how it went. I think the interview really depends on who you get and whether or not they think like you do. My interviewer did smile and crack a laugh every now and he did say "good" to some of my answers to his questions, which I thought were well presented for the most part. Here's the thing though, he seemed like he was rushing for time (I saw him peeking at the wall clock a few times) and he never really "hinted" at putting in a good word for me, basically there wasn't a real indiction whether I did good.

Should I follow up and let the know it is my first choice and I am genuinely interested in matriculating there?
My stats are pretty good btw (3.8sGPA 3.9 oGPA 23AA/24TS/24PAT)

Thanks for reading!

Send an email to Dr. Mejia about it being your top choice, and I'm sure you'll be fine.

I never interviewed at NYU, but I have heard their interviews can be quite short because they have so many other applicants to interview in so little time, which is probably why he seemed like he was in a rush.

Your stats are great and if you feel like your interview went well, then you'll probably be fine. Just wait until December.

P.S. I hope you have a plan to pay for your tuition there (military scholarship, tons of money on hand, living with your parents). NYU is one of the most expensive schools in the country.

Thanks, I most likely will send an email to update them on courses and ECs, and i'll make sure to let them know it is my first choice.

Thanks, I think I gave some very good answers, but I had another interview at a different school where I really enjoyed being interviewed and it seemed like talking to a friend, so when I got to NYU that was kind of what I was expecting, but it didn't turn out to be that informal.

Like I said, some of the answers I gave I felt I was on point, but for one or two of them, I felt that I wasn't completely clear in my statements. He asked a total of I think 6-7 questions. It really sucks when this happens at a school you really want to go to!!:scared:
