So, I plan on applying for orthopedic surgery. I just sent out my away rotation apps. I have a very competitive application including board scores, being top of my class, and several publications. However, I just received a remediate pass in my general surgery clerkship because I forgot to turn in a couple of pass/fail assignments that were in the appendix of my syllabus. They were these e-module didactic things and I thought I had completed them, but I failed to check the appendix because, well who ever actually does that? I honored the COMAT and received exemplary marks from all of our residents and those who worked with me during the rotation.
Any advice, insight, whatever?
