I went to an urgent care clinic in a strip mall on the way home from work to get tested for strep throat. The MA who roomed me said " doc " will be in soon. When the "doc" walked in she saw me wearing my scrubs with my name on it and then said "Hi my name is ___ I am your provider today"

I guess calling herself a provider is better than calling herself "doc"
