So I tried to investigate someone last night, but when I got to their camp there was absolutely nothing there, so sign. As if this person had never even been there at all. This sounds different than someone just not being at camp overnight, but I'm not sure yet what it means.

I have to vote tonight, I'll be out hiking tomorrow from 8am until 4-5ish. But I need to read through the thread more carefully and think about the results I got before I cast any votes.

I haven't lost any dogs because I am "much less likely to lose dogs to normal attrition than most other mushers." On top of that, I build something to protect them every night.

I gotta vote sometime and I'm not sure if I'll be back on before the end of the lynch (cleaning up the house, taking down Christmas decorations, etc). So for now lynch EC. Again, no good reason, but if Abney's information is accurate, the last thing we want to do is lose another villager.

Day 4 Results:

The route from Rohn to Nikolai is one of the longer legs in the race (somewhere between 75-80 miles), and requires several stops/breaks. A few stretches of the leg are considered to have some of the worst trail conditions most years, with numerous opportunities for significant damage to your sled. Once you make it to Nikolai, you can nap in a municipal building, dry your gear, grab a snack and debate whether you want to finish the race. You're about 25% of the way through.

But back here in WW territory, there comes a time in every game where the players band together and decide that anyone with a name like Wolfspeaker must be evil and therefore must be lynched. They call it "RNG", but really, it's as random as a hot day in Texas. It's as predictable as arguments about the use of the GRE for admissions. It's as American as apple pie.

And so, here we are at Day 4 with people stringing WS - a cattle rancher from Montana - up from the rafters of the municipal building in Nikolai. Race officials, observers, and residents (all 100 of them - maybe) shrug and turn aside, generally agreeing that mushers are a weird lot and will do as they will do. With the last of the mushers pulling out of Nikolai on their way to McGrath, WS's lifeless body swings gently from the rafters, a message that suffocating other players with dog poo just ain't right.
