Already been audits. Bigly fraud.I’d like an audit of where the ppe money went. My husband is a pilot who flies a pos rich DB who “runs” the family construction company… by that I mean he gets three hour massages while some hard working suits keep the company going. He got two bailout checks… 6 million each. Did he pay his workers - no. Did he reinvest in his company and grow it hiring new workers ? No. He upgraded his g4 for a global express - that’s where his ppe money went. His boss has made the comment several times that that’s what a bunch of his golf business owning buddies have done…. Bought jets or upgraded. Tons more plane owners these days…. Hard to find pilots for them too
you're insaneView attachment 367527
“Protect” the children from “LGBT groomers” eventhough so many people caught with child porn, raping kids or on “To Catch a predator” are “pillars of community”…. But don’t protect them from corporate exploitation, dangerous work conditions, or from being dumb-asses by not going to school…. 🤦♂️
Not enough…. With not enough penalties for those guilty….Already been audits. Bigly fraud.

I remain disappointed in our political system considering that, despite there really only being two choices, what you just said doesn't actually tell me who you voted for. 🙁I voted for our senior citizen actually
LMAO it doesn’t?!? Have you seen the guy?I remain disappointed in our political system considering that, despite there really only being two choices, what you just said doesn't actually tell me who you voted for. 🙁
Have you seen both of them though? Like my dude, Trump AND Biden are both past 75. They ARE senior citizens.LMAO it doesn’t?!? Have you seen the guy?

Are you really typing this with a straight face? Begrudgingly I voted for Biden due to Trump being too polarizing. I’m now regretting I voted period.Have you seen both of them though? Like my dude, Trump AND Biden are both past 75. They ARE senior citizens.
You'd rather choose the guy who is running Florida further into the ground than it already is?You

I’ll undoubtedly be voting for Desantis if he makes through the primaries. If it’s trump or whomever the dems run god help us.

Actually his father was sentenced to 3 years in prison for white collar crimes but was pardoned. It made the news. My husband just resigned as he was uncomfortable with some of the things the accountant wanted him to document, amongst other things. I know that’s what he spent it on because he tells everyone that’s what he did with it.These type of people crack me up. This ***** knows nothing of what it took to build the business to where it is. Or how many generations it took to get it there. Instead all she does is point fingers and whine like a little baby about how it’s not fair he’s so rich. Oh and he doesn’t treat his EMPLOYEES as equals when they own nothing. Has no clue about his books but claims he did xyz with stimulus. Then all you other losers pile on. Just pathetic
I’m sure they pay a lot more taxes than youIs my business because it’s my tax dollars. He didn’t “go get it”

As compared to our current president running the entire country into the ground? You'd rather choose the guy who is running Florida further into the ground than it already is?
HahahahhahahahhahaI’m sure they pay a lot more taxes than you
Amyl pays a ton in federal taxes. Business people pay a fraction of the taxes compared to highly compensated W-2 employees like Amyl.I’m sure they pay a lot more taxes than you
I know, right?View attachment 367524
Compare this to what FL & TX are doing & one gets a glimpse of what a complete Dem vs a complete Rep government would be like…
I know, right?
Downtown San Fransisco (democratic policies galore!) has never been better!
And people are fleeing Utah and Idaho (Republican run) for greener pastures over in California.
Man…when you are right, you are right!
I didn't argue those, because I basically agree with those criticisms and the broader idea that most of the GOP (and especially the Trumpcult) is a mess.Would forced “continued” pregnancy be OK…
Either way.. its semantics.
There are many other things that I mentioned… but I don’t see you arguing against those 🙄
No it's not good for true GDP. It simply ties up resources, transfers money from A to B, and adds nothing to true wealth and economy.Good for GDP. Gotta go somewhere.
Not everywhere can be a Chaz Zone utopia....You'd rather choose the guy who is running Florida further into the ground than it already is?

Don't fall for it. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic for America's future. People like Blade have been prognosticating America's decline and fall for 80 years. The idea that we will become a "third world" nation is ridiculous on etymological grounds alone. (The terms "First, Second and Third World" are holdovers for Cold War alignment, not indicators of economic development/collapse.)
Comparisons to the Fall of Rome or Britain are perennial among the doomers. Was January 6th equivalent to the Cataline conspiracy with Liz Cheney standing in for Cicero in the aftermath? Please.
There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about America's future:
- wealth and wage inequality has been declining over the past decade
- large (partially) bipartisan infrastructure bills were signed into law (CHIPs and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act)
- unemployment is less than 4%
- huge investments in clean energy development are starting to bear fruit especially in red states
Plenty of problems too to be sure, but the doomerism isn't warranted for the vast majority of Americans.
Every single thing you mentioned from healthcare to the following list is some form of a tangible good or service to the people of this country even if a lot of it means nothing to you and I. Building bombs to drop in other countries doesn't fall under that. The same could be said about healthcare which accounts for 18% of our current GDP. I prefer it go to healthcare but in both cases the end result is dead people. Take your pick….healthcare industrial complex vs military industrial complex.
Excuse my nihilism but what is “true wealth”? What is a more worthy way to spend money? Enormous houses? Eating out? Fashion? Home decor? Fancy cars? Fancy guns? NFL tickets? Boats? Fancy vacations? Any other forms of mass consumption and consumerism that we have been brainwashed to believe is important?

But you do bring up an important point I've always said, that "unemployment rate" and "GDP" are fairly meaningless numbers without context. For example gambling in casinos adds to GDP and communism has basically a zero percent unemployment rate.
Nothing like trading 100 nukes for a piece of paper.
Excuse my nihilism but what is “true wealth”?
Corporations come and go through this type of "voting" by people. Government is in control and doesn't relinquish the control, they just pass it on.
Your missing the point of what is a thriving economy. It's not transferring money from person A to person B; it's what you are producing and contributing to society. Those LA engineers are simply getting money from someone else, zero sum gain, while producing nothing particularly useful to us. Same with casino workers. The engineers at Northrop Grumman don’t live in a vacuum and they don’t live in Ukraine. They live in LA where they are productive members of the community. And the gambling industry provides a very respectable livelihood for millions of Americans.
I'm not surprised that tweet zipped right over your head. In another era you probably wouldn't have understood this political cartoon eitherI guess I just don’t get this mentality.
May I suggest with disagree without the insults. Personally, I couldn't care less, I'm well past getting upset because a complete unknown to me on the internet calls me names, but a moderator doesn't allow it and another interesting thread and debate like the last one will be cancelled. Thanks 🙂I'm not surprised that tweet zipped right over your head. In another era you probably wouldn't have understood this political cartoon either

Just took care of a 102yo with a hip fracture this week. Is putting a hemi hip or an ICD into a 90yo nursing home resident contributing to society? As I suggested earlier, the healthcare industrial complex is just funneling money in our direction. Hospitals are the largest employers in many cities. Is it better to be funneling money to Forever 21 or McDonald’s instead?
There's going to be a time soon when the burden on the productive will be too great to bear and the excesses of our society will be curbed
