If new ECs, do you update?

Do applicants update schools throughout the year? Like, if you become involved in a research effort in the Fall that was not mentioned on your AMCAS or Secondary, do you send the schools a letter explaining your new involvement, what the project is, what you're doing, etc? Or just wait until an interview to mention it?

Yes... send periodic formal update letters to your schools. send them transcripts, awards, publications, new leadership positions... anything. Always express your continued interst in the school and that you are glad to have their continued consideration etc etc etc
