Just took the DAT for my second time on Saturday. I was frapped on the first exam with the ethics reading section, and would definitely recommend a retake for those that were not happy with their score on the frap/ethics exam. The test I wrote on Saturday was, in my opinion, an easier test. Since I took the test the first time in February, I still remembered much of the information, so I only studied for the second test for 11 days after I got home from vacation.

DAT Feb DAT Aug
PAT – 20 PAT – 20
QR – 18 QR – 20
RC – 19 RC – 24
Bio – 18 Bio – 21
GC – 20 GC – 20
OC – 18 OC – 19
TS – 19 TS – 20
AA – 19 AA – 21

Now I am just hoping for a few interviews to be offered!

Thanks the only reason I studied for such a short time was because I was on a two week vacation at the lake and couldnt bring my self to study. I also didnt plan on doing better this time for some reason so I went in with almost no nerves, which I think was a big help.

Watson, what was your RC strategy for both tests, I am just hoping to get at least a 20. My lowest on topscore is 22 but I have heard DAT is harder. I have been using search and destroy (just read a couple of questions and search for them) do you think this would work with the frap/ethics test and/or your second test?

Yes I use search method as well, but I usually do mine one question at a time. I used this method on both tests, and I think the only problem was that I wasted alot of time on the ethics passage on the first test instead of just skipping it in the beginning. If you get the ethics version I would recommend skipping it first, doing the other two, and then coming back and actually reading it and then answering the questions.
