TBR is very well renowned in nearly every subject area of the MCAT. However, is EK 1001 needed to solidify concepts, or is that just overkill and already addressed by TBR? I found P.S. to be my weakness so I was just wondering if anyone thought I should use EK 1001 Chem and Physics as well. My BR books should be coming in this week...

Use BR's Gen chem, physics, organic, and get EK's verbal. BR's physical sciences are amazing. They will prepare you better than the EKs.

In all honesty I bought the EK 1001 books and didn't even touch them once I was done with TBR, I'd say just stick with TBR those books rock

I'm using the EK1001 books for Physics, Gen. Chem. and Biology. I've found that when doing Physics and Gen. Chem passages I run into issues where I mess up my math, or I forget what formula to employ where. The 1001 books help a lot because there's so many questions that after a while, those formula's you have written down on paper, become second nature in your head. For Biology, it just helps to grind the material down.

I think they're great books. I have the whole EK series and TBR. I used TBR for Gen. Chem/Physics content review. EK Bio for content. Used TBR for Bio passages, and used TBR and EK series for Orgo (this subject is fairly fresh in my head so mainly just went through and worked on questions and passages). EK 101 Reading passages. That's my study plan. Hope it works for me - guess we'll find out after the exam. :scared:
