Hello 🙂

I am an in home supportive service provider for my mom who is disabled. I've always taken care of her, but went and did this so that I could also get paid to help support my household too. Is this a weird thing to put in an application?

If I did, do I just put the state government for where I get paid? It's a government social service thing...

I put it as a clinical activity on my AMCAS, I straight up listed the years and guesstimated hours per week
I listed all the things I did, which included feeding, bathing, toileting, making med appointments, dispensing medications, etc

As long as it comes off hard core and not bull ****ty, it's fine
n=1 here

Thanks for your response. Who would I put as my contact?

Caring for your mother is an important part of your growth and development.
I can see how it would figure into your application, but it is not a clinical activity.
If you are being paid, list it as employment. Put your employer as the contact.

That's what I was thinking too. Non clinical employment. Thanks 🙂
