My gpas are up. I agree with all classes' designations as Y/N. GPA is as expected.

Lucky! My transcripts still aren't evaluated! I wish they did it by proximity... Come on UIllinois, I live 2 miles away! 😡
I keep checking the status page like a madwoman and my transcripts have yet to be evaluated! Making me anxious, especially since my eLORS are classified as selected but not received?![]()
My transcripts haven't been evaluated either. Everything says "Received" so I'm hoping they are just working their way down the line to mine...
Maybe its alphabetical? I'm near the beginning.
I'm a K and yet to be evaluated, maybe tomorrow?![]()
Finally mine are up! But my GPA is reported as considerably less than what's on my transcripts and what I put on my VMCAS (my school doesn't count +/- when calculating GPA, I guess Illinois does, so I have 3.72 while they are reporting a 3.64). Does anybody think that will affect my chances? I don't want them thinking I was lying on my VMCAS.
Also, they calculate the science GPA kinda weird... my math classes counted as science, but 2 of my bio classes didn't... strange haha.
Last year's Illinois threads show that people who did not make it through Phase I got rejection letters December 8-10. I've been watching the mail, as my cum is significantly below last year's cut off level, but nothing yet.... Has anyone else gotten anything?

Hey, dvmdreamer, does it come by snail mail or e-mail? I have not received any rejection letters so far.
Does anyone know if IS and OOS rejections were sent at the same time? I'm freaking out because I'm not sure if the lack of a rejection means I am not getting one or I just haven't recieved it yet....
Has anyone gotten a letter yet?? I am home on break, and not at my apartment address. How do we know what is going on? I am an out of state applicant! 😕
I can't take it! I'm in state and I haven't heard anything either. Two people have already posted that they recieved rejection letters on 12/17 but their statuses had not been changed at the time. I haven't received a letter yet, and I'm assuming if letters had been sent out on the 17th then I should have received one / the statuses should have been changed by now. But then, I can't be sure. Last year rejection letters went out on 12/7 and 12/8 and statuses were not changed right away. Interview invites were sent out 1/10 and statuses were changed before letters were recieved. Soo, basically, I have no idea what is good or bad news yet I'm still freaking out. If I had to guess, no news would be good news because we should have heard by now, that is, IF all rejection letters had been sent at the same time, which would make sense. But then, I'm getting my hopes up and that's not good...I'm out of state too and haven't heard anything. I'm also anxious, I expected to get a reject for sure by now (my gpa is way below the cut off last year). Not sure if no news is good news?
It seems the statuses changed last year the beginning of Jan, so we should know something soon enough I guess. Oh the waiting!
Anyone think I'm crazy yet?? 🙂
My GPA and science GPA appears really low as well based on their math, which I am not even sure how since my overall GPA for graduate school is much much higher than anything they calculated. I guess I should have re-calculated and checked it and emailed them. Oh well, I suppose it is too late now.I'm out of state too and haven't heard anything. I do not know what to do! I emailed them about transcripts, and she told me that if I had no been declined yet, to send in my fall transcripts by February 1st. I wasn't sure if that means, they have already declined people, or what? I am just waiting before sending any regardless.
Hmm that is interesting. My science GPA isnt quite even a 3.0 though by their calculations... YIKES! It is also strange to me what grades they used for science GPA, like chose biostatistics which is a course I took in grad school, and then the basics like biology, but also calculated another graduate level course. I thought that they all used a very similar basic blanket of science courses, like bio, chem, ochem, biochem, genetics, etc...
Regardless, do we know of anyone who has actually even gotten an interview yet? Or just rejections?
I don't know anyone that has gotten an interview yet, I'm IS and know a few people applying. I think their sGPA is different than most schools because a lot of other schools calculate your sGPA using only their required science courses. However, Illinois looks at your transcripts and uses all of your courses that they consider science classes. But I don't know how they decide whether or not a class is "science". Some of my upper level bio classes weren't counted (like a genetics and genomics course), but a neuroscience class was counted. Seems a little random!
Agreed, I could really use some good news!
Do we know if interview invites will come via snail mail as well? I also have not checked my apartment address mailbox since Dec. 15th... since I am home on break, so for all I know I do have a rejection there, but I won't know till I get back in town on the 6th of January.... 🙁
You can try to get some of them added if you provide like a syllabus and stuff like that. I had a Marine Vertebrates class that didn't count and wanted to try to get it added but I was having a hard time accessing the info I needed since it was a course I took when I was abroad in the UK.
Ah I didn't know that! It is probably too late for this cycle, but if I don't get in and end up having to reapply, this will be helpful. Thanks!
