Hi I received an OOS interview! Does this mean I’m not in the running for the regular Minnesota DVM program?

Congratulations! I don’t know. It would probably be best to contact Minnesota since their invites went out today as well.Hi I received an OOS interview! Does this mean I’m not in the running for the regular Minnesota DVM program?

Just heard I'm no. 36 on the waitlist. Anyone have an idea how much it's moved in past years? I'm probably not gonna get my hopes up. . .

Was offered a seat today!!! I was 28th on the waitlist originally and I wasn’t expecting to be accepted so hopefully there is hope for those still waiting.

Somehow I went from #36 to #4 on the waitlist 😵 I have another offer and most likely wouldn't accept SDSU. I also didn't take Physics 2 this spring, so if I got an offer from them I'd ask if they'd consider making an exception and letting me take that course in the summer (pretty sure they'll say no but I'm curious). Anyway, best of luck to those waiting!

Just declined my spot! I was #36 on the waitlist originally. FYI, when I got my offer, I inquired about an extension to be able to take Physics II during the summer, which was granted by the admissions committee on the condition that I finish the coursework by July 15th.

Are there any group chats or Facebook groups for accepted students yet? I ‘d love to meet future classmates!

How are you liking Brookings (city/curriculum)?congratulations!! i can't wait to see you next year (incoming second year). there's at least one FB group that the program admin set up, but i'm not sure how they're adding ppl to it
I really like the program itself! I thought first year was super manageable and the professors there genuinely just want you to succeed. Im from SC, so I'm not really used to the whole "flat and cold" weather/topography thing. That was a major adjustment for me. We now have an Aldi and there's a Target going in, but I shopped at Walmart for the majority of the time (close to school). The downtown/bars are the main place to go, but they have a lot of nature parks and it's pretty walkable. Sioux Falls is an hour away and it has all the craft/hobby stores (and a costco!). That's where I fly in and out of when going home for the holidays. Altogether, Brookings is a nice town!! I come from an area where you definitely don't leave your car unlocked. Brookings is super safe, so that's a nice change of pace! If you have any specific questions (housing, finances, etc), feel free to DM me!How are you liking Brookings (city/curriculum)?
