IMG Residency After Graduation?

Are IMG’s allowed to start their residencies right after completing medical school? Or must one complete training in the country of graduation (say, for example, in the UK), or complete a minimum number of years of training in the country of graduation, and then after, is eligible to apply to US residency spots? Thank you.

You don't need any prior GME training. Some countries require GME training as part of medical school. But as far as the US is concerned, all you need is your degree and ECFMG certification (plus a visa if needed)
