Will AdComs potentially be consulting the data from the Decision Support Tool before deciding on whether to extend an II to an applicant? For example, if they see that an applicant has selected "Plan to Enroll" at another school, would they potentially pass over that applicant, anticipating that at this late hour the individual will likely matriculate elsewhere? Or are the data from the tool solely being used for post-II decision-making?

I realize we are in uncharted waters with this new tool, but I wonder if the AdComs here could comment.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe schools don't see that information unless you have been accepted by them, and among those accepted they don't see names of applicants that are planning to enroll, rather they see the number planning to enroll.

Ah, I believe you are correct based on this text from the AMCAS website: "...making this selection allows medical schools to view, in aggregate, the number of applicants that have made that selection for their school prior to April 30." (emphasis mine)

So it sounds like it really only works as a tool to help a school firm up its class list. Thanks, @Slavic Scot!

I think it is strictly for post-II decision making as they can only view this information for those they have waitlisted and accepted.

It strictly is for enrollment planning and will have no impact, both in mechanism or timeline, on interview invites
But if a school still has a sizeable number of interviews to give out at the end of February, and sees that a very high percentage of its applicants have chosen another school for "plan to enroll," could that not influence their II decisions to maybe aim lower?
