Importance of shadowing specialist vs various dentist

Okay , I am so panic. I only shadowed one general dentist for 80 hr so I think I need to shadow more so if the dental school ask me whether I am considering shadow more dentist/specialists. I can say that I am doing it .

I am wondering which one is better: to shadow another general dentist or find a specialist--I am considering about oral surgeon.

You're going to be a general dentist before you'll be a specialist. You're going to have so much exposure to the different specialties while you're in dental school so you can make that decision then. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

General dentist shadowing is fine. That's all I did. Better to have broad exposure to all the "specialties"vs just one specialty
