Hope whoever is reading this is well!

I was wondering if there are DO schools that allow you to switch to in state status after living in their respective state for a year or two. Does anyone know anything about this?

Sincerely,

You'll probably have to ask about the state-specific guidelines. Where I live, in order to qualify for in-state tuition you must live in the state without attending school for at least 1 year prior to matriculation.

Look into TCOM. If you get a scholarship of at least $1K, you qualify for in-state tuition which is a bargain. A number of MD programs at the various state universities in Texas offer the same deal. One caveat, apply very early in the cycle, because if you are an out-of-state applicant, the odds are not in your favor.

New Jersey is not that state. You have to live in NJ for 12 months before you start to get instate. Otherwise, you pay OOS all 4 years.
