There are 4 in-training exams we have to take each year in residency, only really mattering the 3rd year.

How did you guys study for:

1. In-training Foot Didactic Examination
2. In-training Foot CBPS Examination
2. In-training RRA Didactic Examination
3. In-training RRA CBPS Examination

There's entire threads on this regarding ABFAS process.

Use search function.

Anything ABFAS related, Board Wizards is the real deal.

For exams in general and any quick reviews, always refer back to Pocket Pod and PRISM.

Not sure what kids use these days though. Does PRISM still exist?

i heard that there is a cheat sheet passed on from year to year to help you pass, if only i had that!

Because everyone seemed to find this helpful, here's the link to my original post on this topic.

I truly hope it's outdated, I truly hope they've improved the exam enough that you don't need my gimmicky advice. I still advocate simply showing up to your cases prepared is the most important study strategy.

Loved PRISM. My favorite externship study guide by far. I had loads of extra notes i’d add on the sidebars of the different pages.
As it should be. Inova trained. They’re all the real deal

It is your first month of residency.
Focus on getting to know co-residents, meeting staff, meeting docs, making connections, learning the lay of the land.

Boards study is done all through pod school, throughout residency. It's simply core texts, journals, and practice exams.

Oh, wait... forgot you matched a program without much surgery (because "all residencies are the same" and "gpa doesn't matter").
In that case, read core texts and current journal articles between your toenails and wound care... while other residents (cheaters and gunners!) at good programs elsewhere see consults and learn in teaching hospitals and do surgery. Hey, training doesn't matter and we're ultimately happy with 160k/yr anyways, right? 😆

There are programs where you dont see consults? Sign me up plz.

Can confirm that an Inova grad wrote PRISM. He was also one of my favorite professors that wrote me one of my LORs; matched into a historically strong program in the Midwest.
It's a joke... presby wrote presby manual, inova did prizm, crozer did crozer.

PI manual is pretty good... needs an update as they all do, but good for quick boards high-yield stuff.
I don't think any of the manuals are in-depth enough, though... need current texts first and foremost.
