I'm a foreign-trained dentist, and I recently took the INBDE in July 2026. The exam was okay overall, but | was extremely anxious throughout the process. I received my results exactly three weeks after Day 2, and I PASSED!🥹🎉
I studied full-time for about five months using Booster. It wasn't an easy journey, but my determination to pass on my first attempt, along with consistent studying and repeated revisions, helped me tremendously.
Here are the Resources I Used :
1. Booster Videos — I watched all of them once.
2. Booster Study Notes - I went through all the notes, including the cheat sheets. They're very detail oriented, do not miss the highlighted portions given in their notes as they're high-yield points.
3. Booster Practice Questions — I tried to do them at least 2-3 times.
4. Anki Decks — I used them for some subjects, but not for everything.
I also created and used mnemonics to remember a lot of anatomy, pharmacology, and oral pathology contents.
About My Study Schedule;
I studied full-time and very consistently for about five months, approximately 10 hours every day.
While working through the question bank, I noticed that almost every question included a new piece of information that was not always mentioned in the notes. Because of this, practicing the questions, learning from them, and thoroughly understanding the explanations were extremely important.
Whenever I re-did the questions, I made sure to carefully review them again. Repeated revision really helps me retain information, so I went through the material multiple times.
I completed the Booster question bank at least two-three times for each subject. I also repeatedly reviewed my weaker subjects and completed two full rounds of revision before taking my mock exam.
I managed to get a "Very High" chance of passing on my Booster mock exam.
As the exam date gets closer, you may start feeling overwhelmed or feel like you're forgetting everything you studied. That is completely normal, and I think almost everyone goes through it. Just believe in yourself and the work you've put in, and trust the process! You'll do great!
On the Day of the Exam;
I was definitely nervous and anxious, however, I reminded myself that I had done everything I could to prepare. At that point, it was time to stay calm, focus, and do my best.
I tried to remain calm and positive throughout both Day 1 and Day 2.
After Day 1, while preparing for Day 2, I kept remembering a few questions I thought I had answered incorrectly. I started feeling anxious about all the things I might have gotten wrong. But honestly, I didn't let that feeling to put me down. I kept studying and stayed motivated!!
You might walk out of the INBDE convinced you failed, but that feeling doesn't necessarily reflect your result!
You'll probably remember the questions you struggled with much more than the ones you answered correctly. Try not to overanalyze the exam once you walk out.
The INBDE is challenging, it definitely is a pretty long and mentally tiring process !!
But, with a good study schedule, determination, consistency, and the right preparation materials, it can be cracked !!
To everyone who is currently preparing or planning to start your preparation, wishing you all the very best!❤️🙌🏻
