Increasing Verbal Scores

Hi,
I am currently trying to increase my verbal score, I am currently enrolled in the Kaplan Course, but I use the examkrackers 101 verbal to practice. I am getting score of 8-9 regularly. I am on the 7th test out of the 12 and I was wondering if there is any advice on how to break through this into the double digigts. Thanks for any advice.

everyone im sure will chime in on mainstream ways- one thing i've found helps some people who seem to have hit that "roadblock" is to practice your writing sample- often doing that will bump your verbal 1-2 points quickly
