this.i'm more interested in how many people actually give a crap about glenn beck and his absolutely idiotic, paraniod ramblings.

wowwwww does he not realize how many Indian doctors there are in America? what a douche....he should go jump into a pool filled w. razorblades, nobody would miss him I can promise you that.
He has some really good points. He just acted like douche when explaining it. Too bad he blew his opportunity to make a good point. Im more worried that people are as uninformed like the lady in the video. Basic economic principles. Also, an Indian hip replacement is not the same as one here. Nosocomial infections are ridiculous in India. Although i wonder if they have MRSA like we do.
he's definitely trying to insult indian doctors, he made a mockery joke out of sacred river...no good points sorry, you can't make points by being a sarcastic ******* who is a college dropout, pot smoker, and recovering alcoholic...no wonder he cant think critically.I dont think he was purposefully trying insult indian doctors. I think he was just trying to elaborate the vast difference between the quality of healthcare in India and the US. Which there is. I cant beleive im defending Glenn Beck. Desperate times.......
india is probably the only "developing" country with a significant number of people immigrating to america to become doctors. and damn fine ones at that.
some of the best doctors I have ever worked with have been indian born and trained. he is basically just making fun of india for being poor.
We can't just write off this guy. Let me remind you that there's MILLIONS of American viewers who believe everything this guy says; he has a ton of loyal fans AND he makes a ridiculous amount of money saying the things he says.

I know there's many here. What do you guys think of this? Glenn Beck talks about the Indian healthcare system...
No wonder they call the liberals elitists, I can't count how many people on this thread have called him uneducated.

you actually defend this drivel? No wonder they call the liberals elitists, I can't count how many people on this thread have called him uneducated.

TGetting procedures done at these hospitals is still less expensive than getting them done in the US, whereas the quality of healthcare is exactly the same, and possibly even better. Why is it cheaper? The doctor I spoke with said it is due to less overhead.
two questions:
what made you assume that we're liberals?
besides his high school diploma (+ 40 seconds of research experience), why do you assume that he is educated?

That and they actually make people pay for the procedure instead of making the insured foot the bill for everyone that doesn't pay.
.)It really disappoints me that, out of all the people that criticize Glenn Beck for bring an "alcoholic," etc., almost none of them have ever watched his show, if even for a few minutes. Sure, you get to see clips of him on the fake news stations (comedy central, msnbc), but these are largely taken out of context (yes, I am using the same "out of context" defense that Obama used so effectively during the campaign.)
Almost all attacks on Glenn Beck that you will see or hear anywhere are on how he's a "fatty fat fatso," "alcoholic," recovering or not, eats tons of M&Ms, is crazy, etc. You won't very often see anyone arguing against the points he makes; instead they focus on a few clips to which the liberal media draws attention, such as him crying. Glenn is on the air for a total of FOUR HOURS every day. Anyone on the air that often and that long will have a pretty juicy "best of" youtube playlist (see: Joe Biden).
Mr. Beck is not against the Obama administration or healthcare reform; he is pro-common-sense. He simply points out the sheer ridiculousness of events happening in Washington, and as it has been said, is MUCH more popular amongst the folks than you might think.

Way to cherry-pick through these posts. There are several in this thread that attack his ridiculous ideas and his blatant offensiveness in this clip (as opposed to his alcoholism, which I hadn't even heard about). As far as his being "pro-common sense" I would have to completely disagree. I would say he is "pro-not thinking things through/being borderline racist". Besides, sometimes issues, such as the notoriously complex world of US health care, require more than 40 seconds of research to make conclusions.
i have, and it's completely in context. i recall seeing that real-time on TV too, not a rerun on the daily show or something. i actually watch faux news (more than any other news source on tv ironically) just to see what comedy ensues. jon stewart's parody of glenn beck is spot on.Correct, obviously the world of US healthcare does require more than 40 seconds of research; no one is going to argue with you about that. But when the fate of the health care system is being decided behind closed doors by a bunch of senators from one party, instead of out in the open with a serious debate, is that any better...? I don't know, you tell me.
Also, the comment about Obama hating white people is exactly the kind of "best of" video I was talking about. Research the comment and the incident.

To the contrary, if you had bothered reading all the posts in this thread, you would have seen that quite a few people argued against the points he makes.
I don't know about you but he sure doesn't sound pro-common-sense when he insults other people's religions. I'm sure he would have never said something as insulting about Christianity, consider Fox News viewers demographics. Plus, did you see the kind-of comparisons he made? It doesn't sound common sense to me.
Instead of ranting on and on about the liberal media and how what he says is taken out of context... why don't you instead try to explain exactly what he was saying in the video and how you think he is pro-common-sense? What parts of this clip do you think was taken out of context? How is it common sense to suggest that American doctors are smarter because they go to Harvard (apparently he thinks the only way you can become a doctor in the US is if you go to Harvard) but Indian doctors go to Garajaraja or whatever? Do you think it's common sense that American doctors are smarter than Indian doctors? Please tell.
Don't worry. He doesn't encounter Indian-looking physicians.I wasn't really offended until he made the completely unnecessary comment about the Ganga River. Way to make yourself look like a jerk. (which btw, I never really understood why it is pronounced gan-gees instead of gun-gah. I've heard the former in the US and the latter in India. Odd)
But apparently he might not have any idea that a physician he may have encountered might have actually been trained in India and then immigrated here.
Really? And how would most Indians afford to pay $16000 for hip replacement? That and they actually make people pay for the procedure instead of making the insured foot the bill for everyone that doesn't pay.
It is because the population of India is above 1 billion, and English is one of the official languages.india is probably the only "developing" country with a significant number of people immigrating to america to become doctors. and damn fine ones at that.

Ok, well then you realize that it was a conclusion that was drawn after looking at a terrible speech that the president had just made. He was analyzing a speech using what he already knew about the president's past. Whether you agree with the conclusion or not, thats not the point. I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with the conclusion. More discrediting statements have been said by other individuals and have been passed over.
