The HCI Group is looking for several resident physicians or physicians to provide on-site support to our clients’ physicians at Mayo Clinic while they start using the Epic electronic health record (EHR) during the “go-live” period. This is hands-off support. No programming experience is necessary because the role involves educating physicians about the EHR and helping them navigate their new Epic software. Technical issues are relayed to the IT teams. Training is minimal, so you must already have experience using Epic in the clinical setting and feel comfortable helping your colleagues with this software.

This is a short-term (2-4 weeks) contract opportunity that requires staying in the Mayo Clinic area during that time and is a great opportunity to gain access the Mayo physician community during the typical work week of 60 to 80 hours. Flight, hotel, and per diem are reimbursed. Contract hourly pay is competitive for the physician level.

Prior experience with Epic go-lives is preferred, but applicants without this experience that have strong knowledge and clinical exposure to Epic will also be considered.

Timeframe of project: April 29th – May 26th

REQUIREMENTS:
  • MD or DO degree
  • At least one year experience using Epic in the ambulatory and/or inpatient clinical setting
