Information to include in update letter concerning a publication

Hi,

I found a few threads about this, but didn't find any extremely helpful posts. Just wondering what you guys think is critical to include in an update letter concerning am accepted publication. I am planning to include the title, journal title, and author list. Should the author affiliations be listed? Should I include the abstract? Is it important to present the information in a formal format citation?
