Hey guys, a good bit has changed since I have lasted posted in this forum. Originally, I had plans to apply for the entering August 2014 class but decided to rescind my application and take a gap year upon graduation. Now that that decision has been made, I have begun to look ahead. At this point in time and given my 3 month study plan, I have it decided that I will take my MCAT on the October 25th date. From the perspective of those of you that have taken a relatively late MCAT and under the assumption I have a 3.3 with 6 LORS and an application filled with great clinical and research experiences, might this be a bad idea? It would be great if you guys could provide some input. Hopefully I am in the Goldilocks zone when applying--not too early and not too late. Thanks, as always!

You should be fine. Verify your grades before your MCAT score comes back, so you can have the application sent around the time you get your scores back.

Good luck, you should still be in line for scholarship money and AZPOD and CSPM don't fill until March/April.

I'd say as long as you get your application in before November, early December you will still have the benefits of "applying early". Best chance of scholarship money is of course earlier the better.

Assuming you get a good MCAT score you should be fine.
