Interesting podiatry article

I am a junior right now and am going for dentistry, but podiatry seems very interesting b/c of the variety of medical specialties incorporated. I still have a while to decide, but what do you guys think the podiatry profession is going to be like in 10 yrs? I still havent shadowed a DPM yet, so any input would be great about this profession. Anyways..I found this article while doing some research.

This type of program should be the "standard" for residency programs. It says the residents even do their own H&P's and function the same as all the other PGY-1 residents. Hopefully the new 2 and 3 yr. programs will incorporate these things.

The PM&S-24 and PM&S-36 podiatric residency models does requrire the residents to document a minimum of 25 Complete H&Ps and 25 Problem Focused H&P as a requirement for graduation.
