So I was having problems getting my letters sent electronically to a school, and ended up paying 12 dollars to have them delivered priority mail. Interfolio randomly saw this, called the school, took care of the situation, and refunded me my $12 without me even asking. I thought that was pretty cool, lol.

haha sorry for the random pre-med question from someone too lazy to search properly... but if I'm not applying for a couple more years and get a letter of rec now, do I just open an interfolio account and have it sent there and kept until I apply?

if it wasn't for them i would have never found out that my D.O. lor writer forgot to put his signature on the letter. Even my pre med advisor somehow missed that. Thank god for interfolio

Totally hijacking the thread, but when you guys send in more than required LoRs through Interfolio,etc do you guys notify the schools that you're sending extra letters? Or do they just download them all?

I would call the school and tell them which ones you want to satisfy the minimum requirements, then say you will be sending extra LORs for ___ category. Or you can just send them the extras-- your choice.

So it's fine just sending extras without letting the schools know, right? It's just assumed that they'll receive them all?
