International Internship

Hi everyone,

Many of you may be interested in an exciting internship opportunity in Ghana to screen for operable cataracts, coordinate the sight-restoring cataract surgeries, prescribe eyeglasses, and educate Ghanaians about the prevention of trachoma, river blindness, and vitamin A deficiency.

This international internship (November 1, 2004 through January 15, 2005) is a continuation of a successful Summer 2004 internship offered by Unite For Sight (www.uniteforsight.org) and Ghana Health and Education Initiative (www.ifmsa.org; http://www.ifmsa-usa.org/oldsite/ghana/). HI there, sorry but this seems abit off topic, I've read before about electives/ internships in countries such as Ghana which offer a really great elective due to the many patients and hands on practice, is this true?
